KLIA welcomes the new British Airways’ Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
British Airways is upgrading its current daily flight between Kuala Lumpur to London. The current Boeing 777-200ER will be replaced by the new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner from Dec 10.
The 787-9 is the latest addition to the British Airways fleet, it is 20ft (6m) longer than its predecessor the 787-8. The new aircraft is also fitted with the latest First Class cabin.
The cabin has just eight suites compared to most other aircraft which usually have 14, offering even more exclusivity and privacy to customers.
The 787s are the most technologically advanced aircraft in British Airways’ fleet. It includes a whisper-quiet cabin pressurised lower than other aircraft.
This creates more humidity and reduces the drying effect of the air in the cabin. The aircraft’s smooth ride technology also provides comfort during any turbulence.
The aircraft will have 216 seats in total with eight in First, 42 in Club World business class, 39 (seven additional) in World Traveller Plus premium economy and 127 in World Traveller economy class.
